Each village narrates a different story giving you a sense of humanity and gratitude for life.

1.Chong Khneas


Chong Khneas has a distance of about 16 kilometers is the nearest village to Siem Reap.
The village dwells with stilted and floating houses which keeps moving according to the level of water.
You will be surprised to find a floating school and even a church because God and education don’t find an excuse to be prevalent even in the most difficult areas.
However, Chong Khneas is a gateway to Battambang and Phnom Penh (the capital of Cambodia). So, if these places are on your itinerary, you should travel by boat to have a unique experience.
If you would like to stay longer to have lunch or dinner, there also have local Korean restaurants and shop local artifacts from the floating markets.

2.Kampong Phluk


Kompong Phluk is a must-see for any trip to Cambodia. The journey from Siem Reap to this enchanting site where you will board a fishing boat to explore the waterways. Here you’ll get a fascinating insight into the ways the local people live in the region. Once travelers have to reach Kompong Phluk, it’s goodbye to the mainland as you float by schools, government buildings, and local homes on stilts. you will learn more about how the locals have adapted to their surroundings, and experience their day-to-day routines as you pass fish farms and rice paddies. 3.Kampong Khleang


Kampong Khleang is the colorful village where have a location about 50 kilometers from Siem Reap City As you enter the village, a beautiful blue lake welcomes you, Moreover Kampong Khleang also can be called 'harbor warehouse' feels like another world which will inundate your heart with mixed emotions. Rather than a cluster of three villages; Kampong Khleang, Chong Prolay, and an ethnic Vietnamese floating village, the village is resided by 6,000 Cambodians.



Machrey is a gateway floating village to a wildlife sanctuary there is an immense forest area which is a habitat of hundreds of species of birds where you can do some nature photography. On your way back, you can stop at Artisans Angkor and buy some handicraft souvenirs from your trip. Mechrey has a distance of about 25 km southwest of Siem Reap.
